Vancouver Goalball Club is thrilled to announce the return of our Grand Slam tournament on March 10-12, 2023 in beautiful Surrey, British Columbia! We look forward to welcoming teams from around the world to both our men’s and women’s divisions – with cash prizes for the winning teams as well as the best offensive & defensive players in each category.

Venue: Pacific Academy (10238 168 St, Surrey, BC)

Hotel: Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel (15269 104 Ave, Surrey)

After a one-year hiatus, Vancouver Goalball Club is thrilled to announce the 6th annual VGC Goalball Grand Slam tournament happening from March 11-13, 2022 in beautiful Surrey, British Columbia.

About Goalball

Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for blind and visually impaired athletes. It was created by an Austrian and a German as a means of assisting the rehabilitation of visually impaired WWII veterans. Now, goalball is played internationally, and has been an official Paralympic sport since 1980.
Goalball athletes compete in teams and try to throw a ball that has bells inside it into the opponents goal. Teams alternate throwing the ball from one end of the court to the other, using their bodies to block the ball from going in their net. Players use the sound of the bell …
